As Bixby Voice update rolls in the States, we realize there might be a lot of Galaxy S8 features you’re missing out on. After all, the handset is packed with new user experience features and while you could discover them by yourself, why not get a bit of help? Here are four things you can do with your S8/S8 Plus right now #mobilemagic
1. See notifications alerts even when the device is facing down. You can see when incoming messages arrive by looking at the Infinity Display’s edges. They’ll illuminate instantly when you get a new message if you enable the option from Settings -> Display -> Edge screen.
2. Save websites and messages in your Reminder app. You stumbled upon an interesting but long article that you want to read later? You can send the URL straight to Reminders by accessing your browser’s sharing options while the page is open. Also, you can long-press on any message if you want to convert it in a Reminder on the spot. Plus, when you’re really swamped, you can make it easier to remember by enabling Pin to Always On Display from the Reminder app.
3. Take a screenshot with palm gesture. There are several ways to take a screenshot on S8 but probably one of the easiest and less-known is the palm gesture. Just swipe the screen from one side to the other with the side of your palm and you get a Jedi-worthy shot.
4. Watch two apps in the same time, sharing space on your screen. Not in a YouTube kind of way, mind you. By tapping on the Snap Window button from an app, you can select the portion of one app you want to see constantly, in the upper part of your screen, while browsing.
