Scorn Xbox Series X Trailer Was Running On RTX 2080 Ti

Ebb Software

Ebb Software’s Game Director, Ljubomir Peklar, revealed in a recent interview with wccftech that the Scorn trailer for Xbox Series X that fascinated the minds of gamers was running on an RTX 2080 Ti GPU.

“For the showcase, we used 2080Ti and a Ryzen processor just because there was no reason not to use it, but a 2070 Super with a mixture of settings is adequate to run the game at 4K 60FPS.”

The recent trailer is labeled  ‘in-engine footage representative of expected Xbox Series X visual quality’ and Ebb Software Game Director stated that Scorn’s target is 4K 60 FPS across all platforms. The atmospheric first-person horror game inspired by H.P. Giger’s works is exclusive to the Microsoft console, being funded on Kickstarter almost a year ago. Xbox hopes that the game will be among the top launch games of its console.

Regardless of the system, the 4K 60 FPS across all platforms is the key factor here. If the game is optimized, and the gameplay is fluent to run at that resolution and FPS count, then everybody is happy. Provided they keep at least ninety percent of the trailer’s video fidelity.

“DirectML and NVIDIA’s DLSS 2.0 are very interesting solutions when the game is not hitting the desired performance and it feels like these solutions could help players with weaker systems… A lot of these new features have been at our disposal for a very limited amount of time. We will try our best to give players as many options as possible.”
