Haven’t you heard? Clubhouse is evolving from an audio/conference/debate social media app to one that encourages gaming as a means to getting to know each other. Here’s how to play an in-room game on Clubhouse.
Clubhouse In-Room Gaming: Devices and Available Games
Clubhouse is trying to expand its scope, what with people returning to their jobs and being able to speak in person with their colleagues and friends. So, the latest feature added is a gaming one that you won’t find – yet – on similar platforms like Twitter Spaces.
The feature is coming to both iOS and Android devices, so you should be able to take advantage of it soon enough.
What’s the first game released? “Wild Cards”, according to TechCrunch. Clubhouse told the publication the game is designed to spur conversation and get people to know each other beyond the trivial.
Clubhouse In-Room Gaming: How To Play
According to the publication, Wild Cards is about a series of engaging questions that should keep users on their toes.
Some of them are meant to help users be spontaneous by challenging them to pitch an idea for a movie or series in record time or “find a movie that the whole group will love in three minutes or less.”
All the questions are in English for now.
How do you play? You simply go and click the “+Rooms” button; this should pop up the “Games” option. From there, you’ll be directed to a room where you can start playing, inviting other friends to join in.
The moment everyone arrives, you can start the game by clicking “Start Game”. Intuitive, right?
This feature is just one of two recently launched by Clubhouse, with the other enabling users to chat via text instead of audio. So, shy Clubhouse users won’t have to speak up if they don’t want to but still pitch in from their keyboards.
