We all know film cameras are an endangered species but this week, Canon announced that they just sold their very last one.
This comes shortly after Leica stated they would discontinue the M-P camera.
The Canon model in question is the EOS-1V, and the company has basically been selling out the stock, considering the model hasn’t been manufactured in the last eight years. This one last camera sale marks the depletion of the stocks.
Of course, the camera can still be found online, and there are other brands out there that still support film, such as Nikon.
Even so, Canon did promise to offer repair for the EOS-1V until 2025, depending on how rapidly the parts will fly off the repair shelves.
