With data coming in from all of the Tesla Autopilot cameras, YouTube user Pranav Kodali created a video that offers us a look into what the Autopilot feature sees and how it processes the street data in real time.
The visualization data was taken from an autopilot 2.5 car as it drove down the Tail of the Dragon course, America’s most notorious motorcycle and sports car road that features no intersecting roads or driveways.

After watching the video, we have a much better understanding of what the Autopilot is capable of seeing through all of the eight on-board cameras that are placed around the car.
The feature is being continuously updated and we will probably see even more improvements in the upcoming months but even so, if you do own and drive a Tesla with the Autopilot feature, the company advises that you keep your hands on the steering wheel and pay attention to the road at all times.
