Since quite some time ago, a number of smartphone companies, especially the Chinese ones, have decided to place a watermark feature that lets everyone know what phone you took your photo with and with what type of camera it was taken.
It’s this exact feature that spilled the beans about what might just be the main feature on Huawei’s upcoming P30 Pro smartphone.
The device will be officially unveiled in Paris on March 26th and, as revealed by the watermark, it will have a quad rear camera setup. We know that because Richard Yu, Ceo of Huawei’s consumer business group shared a sample photo taken with the smartphone and, for some reason, did not turn off the watermark feature on the device.
There was some sort of attempt to blur the watermark but it’s clear that the second line says “Leica quad camera”.
The Huawei P30 Pro is expected to be one of the first phones that will feature a Sony IMX607 38MP camera sensor. Meanwhile, the secondary cameras are rumored to be a periscope lens for high optical zoom while the other to be a wide-angle lens.
As far as the fourth camera goes, it might prove to be a Time of Flight sensor.
March 26th is still a while away but we’re pretty sure we’ll get to see more P30 leaks until then.
