One of the best things to come out of MWC 2019 was the Nubia Alpha wearable, a hybrid between a smartwatch and a smartphone attached to your wrist.
Back then, we were impressed with the flexible OLED display that almost circles your wrist but reserved about the front camera.
Now, Nubia’s co-founder Ni Fei just revealed the first camera sample from the Nubia Alpha 5 MP shooter with f 2.2 aperture.
Surprisingly, the image looks pretty good, and not just because it shows off some gorgeous springtime bloom.
To convince naysayers who would think that there’s no way a 5 MP camera could shoot with so much detail, Ni Fei shared the EXIF data of the Nubia Alpha sample, showing a resolution of 1920 x 1080 p.
The Nubia Alpha is set to launch today in China.
The innovative smartwatch comes with a 4-inch flexible OLED display with an ultra-wide ratio and 960 x 192 resolution.
The heavy lifting is done by the reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset paired with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
