The Acer Helios 300 has been officially upgraded to the Predator Helios 500, stated an official announcement from the company. This transforms an already powerful gaming laptop into a gaming powerhouse.
The Helios 500 not only has the choice between a 4K or a 1080p 144Hz display that comes with Nvidia G-Sync, but it also sports a larger screen size (17.3 inches) than its predecessor. Able to be configured up to an Intel i9+, the laptop includes options for more powerful graphic cards and processors as well.
The most expensive model comes with GTX 1070 GPU with 8GB of memory and 64GB RAM. As with all the other gaming laptops offered by Acer, the Helios 500 also sports the company’s “Dual AeroBlade 3D fans” which they claim improve cooling. Design wise, it comes with several LED lighting systems built in, adding a whole new dimension to your gaming sessions.
Additionally, there is a special edition update for the 15.6-inch Helios 300, with a new 144Hz 1080p display, an updated eighth-generation Core i7+ processor, Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU, and the Dual AeroBlade 3D cooling system. All of this is packed in a shiny white-and-gold design.
Finally, there’s also some information about the future Predator X line. It is said to contain products that will use Intel’s commercial-grade Xenon processors; however, there’s no concrete news about it.
