Franky Zapata, the daredevil that started the flyboard trend in 2012, is back with even a cooler ride that ditches the hose and can soar up to 10.000 feet high #objectmagic
Flyboard Air is an autonomous propulsion unit (hoverboard) that takes you up in the air as Green Goblin’s ride did. This modern take on Aladdin’s flying carpet is set to keep you there for 10 minutes and takes you up to 10.000 feet high at a maximum speed of 93 mph.
Because it was labeled as fake many times, Zapata recorded a video with him in flight, proving the authenticity of the prototype. Unlike the Water Jet Flyboard, this vehicle doesn’t stay attached to the watercraft, but relies on an integrated turbine engine.
When it hits market, it will probably catch on quickly in extreme sports circles, but don’t expect a 2016 release date, since the rest of the year is focused on further improving the technology.
