Alleged Moto G Series Leak Suggests Waterdrop Notch Display

[adrotate group=”12″]

The smaller waterdrop-style notch has been popularised by OPPO and more and more companies are taking the idea and running with it. One of them seems to be Motorola.

According to some leaked photos obtained by Slashleaks, the company might be implementing the waterdrop notch on the display as well. The notch design allows more screen space and it only holds the front camera sensor in the middle.

The G series was designed for budget users, so the notch is not that small but nonetheless it’s definitely smaller than most of the other notch-based smartphones in the same price range.

The G6 Plus in the photos allegedly runs on a stock Android build and can host two SIM cards. The phone comes with a glass body in the color red and on the back we can spot a fingerprint sensor and the usual dual camera setup we got familiar with from most smartphone manufacturers this year.

If the phone proves to be the Moto G7 or an otherwise updated Moto G6 version, it will still be the first time a phone in this series sports a notch.
