It’s that time of the year!
Once September comes around, every gadget maker in town gets ready for IFA, the hottest tech show in the autumn.
Even though this year IFA 2020 will be a restricted, smaller event, Huami might still unveil new Amazfit smartwatches.
And the cat’s out of the bag already. Editors at Geekdoing spotted references to some new Amazfit smartwatches in source code – the Amazfit GTS 2, codenamed Newton, the Amazfit GTR 2, codenamed Lisbon, and the Amazfit Neo, called Tokyo.
Considering last September Huami unveiled the Amazfit GTS, a feature-stuffed and budget-friendly smartwatch going toe to toe with Apple Watch 4, it’s very likely the followup might be revealed soon at IFA.
Previously, both the Amazfit X and the Amazfit Stratos 3 were revealed at the same event.
Even better, Xiaomiadictos spotted code references to Alexa, and even NFC support, which might make the new Amazfit GTS 2 and the Amazfit GTR 2 2020 best buys.
