If your iPhone needs a battery replacement, you should see about that as soon as possible: Apple’s $29 battery replacement program will be ending on December 31st.
The devices eligible for the discounted battery replacement are the iPhone SE, 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6s Plus 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, and the iPhone X.
After December 31st, these replacement batteries will return to their regular price, at $49, with the iPhone X replacement to cost $69.
If you are not sure how to check the health of your battery, it’s quite easy: all you have to do is go to Settings, choose the Battery section and then select Battery Health.
If your iPhone can still operate at Peak Performance Capability, you’ll know it there and if it cannot do that anymore, Battery Health will let you know with a notification.
If you do get that notification, Apple will offer the discount for the replacement in any Apple Store or authorized iPhone repair shop so don’t waste the chance whille you still have it.
