Apple Event October: MacBook Pros Are on the List

Thought you’d seen everything you could from Apple this fall? Wrong! The company is having another event this season, one where the focus will be less on mobile devices and more on machines. New MacBook Pro models are said to make an appearance.

The Mac-focused event from Apple will take place this month, considering the timeline of previous years. Apple is expected to unveil new MacBook Pros; faster, better good-looking MacBook Pros.

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, you should expect:

  • more graphics-intense and professional-focused MacBooks
  • the M1X Apple silicon chip, in detail, as part of the new series
  • a redesigned Mac mini

The improved 2021 MacBooks will be powered by the M1X, Apple’s new silicon chip. While the name hasn’t been advertised yet, it makes sense for the company to name it like this.

The M1X should come in two variants. Both will have 10 CPU cores (eight high-performance and two high-efficiency) and either 16 or 32 graphics cores.

The display and design of the new MacBook should show some differences but nothing off-putting.

The company is also looking forward to releasing a higher-end Mac mini but haven’t given us any indication of when and what will that entail.

At the September event, Apple launched the new iPhone 13 series, Apple Watch Series 7, and new iPads. There could also be new AirPods in the cards this year so stay tuned for more info on that topic!
