Apple is in preparations to launch the new iPhone 12 Series, which is set to take place at the company’s “Hi, Speed” event on Tuesday, October 13, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. It seems during this event, Apple is also planning to introduce a new smart speaker, and it’s not HomePod 2. The Cupertino-based tech giant recently stopped selling Sonos, Bose, and Logitech audio devices, suggesting its got its own products in the pipeline.
Recent leaks say Apple isn’t planning to release a second edition HomePod until next year, so this means a whole new product is ready to see the light of day. Rumor has it Apple wants to launch a budget-friendly speaker in order to compete with Amazon and Google, which will probably be a HomePos Mini version of sorts.
Other gadgets expected to be announced alongside the new iPhone 12 quartet are the AirPods Studio and AirTags, a product Apple accidentally confirmed back in April.
We are only a few days away from the iPhone 12 series launch, but the new flagship line-up isn’t everything Apple will announce. We will keep you posted with what will be unveiled.
