It’s only been around two weeks since Apple released its third tvOS 12.1.1 and only a month since the tvOS 12.1 and the company has already released the fourth tvOS 12.1.1 beta to developers for testing.
The new tvOS 12.1.1 developer beta can be downloaded to the Apple TV via an Xcode profile while the following betas will be available as over-the-air downloads.
The update will most likely fix some bugs the previous ones did not address and other improvements in the 12.1.1 version, suggesting that it’s a perfromance and compatibility update.
The new build can be found via the Apple Developer Center and public beta releases usually become available within days after the developer version and are usually up for grabs from the Apple Beta Software Program website.
Apple advises the users not to install any beta versions on hardware that is ‘mission-critical’ or any other primary devices due to potential data loss and other, miscellaneous issues.
If you do want to install the betas, it’s advisable you use a secondary or otherwise non-essential hardware.
