As with any Apple product, everyone jumps ahead of themselves with every new rumor, and AirPods fans are no exception.
Some experts were and still are convinced that Apple will do an AirPods 3 announcement in the second half of March but the company seems to have other plans.
This new Apple ‘Jump’ ad is all about the older (or should we say current?) AirPods Pro, showcasing how well they fit and how Active Cancellation Mode can handle any external noise.
“Turn the world into your playground with AirPods Pro,” says the new Apple Youtube video, and even the YouTube channel itself has a new header image with the AirPods Pro.
That, for us, is plenty evidence that Apple still wants to sell the 2019 AirPods Pro for a while and probably won’t steal their thunder with the release of the AirPods 3.
However, it’s still possible that Apple might be trying to hide that AirPods 3 announcement until the last second, and a new ad for AirPods Pro could be a very good diversion. Couple that with the fact that we haven’t had new AirPods in more than a year, and you can see why most fans hope to see the AirPods 3 next week.
