Pinch your fingers, clench your hand and just like a Jedi you’ll get to control your Apple Watch. Here is one Apple Watch trick you need to know about sooner rather than later.
WatchOS 8 came with an amazing feature for those who can’t use touch controls as they’d wish or want to have fun with their smartwatch a bit.
If you own an Apple Watch Series 7, 6 or SE, it’s something you absolutely have to try. The idea is simple: thanks to watchOS, you can now control your Apple Watch without touching it, completely hands-free!
All you have to do is open the Watch app on your iPhone. From there, look for Accessibility and tap Assistive Touch.
You will see a hand gestures tab that allows you to customize the behaviour of your smartwatch at a pinch, double pinch, clench and double clench.
Pinching is a good idea when you want to move forward in a menu or back while clenching can work greatly as tapping.
Wanna give it a go? If you do, tell me how it works and whether it’s something you could see yourself using on the long run!
