Bowers & Wilkins just debuted their new PI7 Wireless Earbuds and they bring a totally new feature: they work even without Bluetooth-enabled devices.
That’s right.
The PI7 Wireless Earbuds work even with in-flight entertainment or other devices that don’t have Bluetooth. All they need to have is a regular 3.5 mm headphone jack.
You’ll use that to plug in a 3.5 mm to USB-C adapter cable and sound will be streamed to the earbuds.
You could achieve this type of connectivity with any kind of wireless earbuds by buying a separate Bluetooth transmitter but why would you?
Bowers & Wilkins PI7 Wireless Earbuds are a pretty convenient deal, featuring “Dual Hybrid Drive” speakers in each earbud for better sound, six microphones to offer adaptive noise cancellation, and support for Google Assistant or Siri.
The sound can also be adjusted using an app.
The buds themselves hold a 4 hour charge and the case an additional 16 hours, and it’s worth noting they offer fast charge.
Just put the PI7 buds in the case for 15 minutes and you’ll get 2 hours of playback time.
Of course, they won’t be cheap. The new Bowers & Wilkins go for $400, so they’re a $150 jump from competition like the AirPods Pro.
