With most of the world united against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine and an unprecedented level of sanctions levied in order to stop the world, anyone can do their part.
You, too, can help Ukraine even from thousands of miles away, with the help of a fun but effective new website.
A hacktivist group called “Obfuscated Dreams of Scheherazade ” launched a website called WasteRussianTime.today which lets you attack Russian bureaucrats with just a single button press.
When you visit the site, you have a button that will call and connect two random Russian bureaucrats. The idea is that they will waste time talking to each other trying to figure out what’s happening.
The hacktivists compiled the phone numbers of thousands of Duma employees, employees of the Ministry of War and Economy, mid-level administrators and high-ranking politicians from Russia. When you click the button, a call will be made between two of those people.

“This is a civil intervention: if you are hanging on the phone, you canʼt drop bombs, you canʼt coordinate soldiers, you canʼt make invasion plans. It brings a bit of chaos to the warmongering of the Russian government. We donʼt want war, ever. We want a peaceful intervention,” says Obfuscated Dreams of Scheherazade.

So far, more than 5,000 calls have been made and the website is already straining under pressure.
Hopefully the activists will figure out their bandwidth problems and, when the site is back online, you can do your part.
