Facebook as we know it may not look the same! The platform’s interface which we’re all so familiar with will no longer be the same starting September. The classic blue navigation bar at the top would most likely be gone for good, so what are we looking at?
According to an Engadget report, Facebook support page announced that soon all users will enjoy the new design, highlighting the fact that “the classic Facebook will no longer be available starting in September.”
The latest design was announced at Facebook’s developer conference last year.
In terms of functionality, it seems the changes will be focusing on the service’s Groups features, Facebook’s Watch, Marketplace, and Gaming.
Recently, Facebook has started integrating Instagram’s chat feature with Messenger, as part of a bigger project to merge all of the social network’s messaging services.
Mark Zuckerberg announced last year his plans for integrating all of the companies messaging platforms – Messenger, Whatsapp, and Instagram. A spokesman said back in 2019: “We’re working on making more of our messaging products end-to-end encrypted and considering ways to make it easier to reach friends and family across networks. As you would expect, there is a lot of discussion and debate as we begin the long process of figuring out all the details of how this will work.”
