It is time to squad up and ride the battle bus once more as the invasion has begun with Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7!
That’s right, aliens have arrived on the island, bringing with them new ways to play Fortnite.
For starters, new flying saucers will appear on the island. While under control of the alien, they will transport you to a random place on the island. However, players can shoot them down or take control over the flying saucers, turning them into deadly vehicles. The tractor beam, in the player’s possession, can pick up objects and fling them at enemies.
Additionally, new weaponry make its way to the battle royale. These weapon include a recon scanner which gives vision of a small area, a rail gun that can shoot through structures, and a pulse rifle. Players will also be able to find nuts and bolts, which can be used to build or upgrade current weapons.
Finally, new skins are available with the season’s battle pass. Unlocked immediately is the customizable Kymera outfit. This is essentially a flexible alien skin with customizable head, eye colors, skin patterns, etc. rolling out throughout the season.
Perhaps the biggest surprise, though, is the inclusion of a Rick Sanchez from Rick & Morty and Superman skin. These two skins are also available through the battle pass.
Fortnite is known for its innovative and continuous stream of updates. With its new weapons, interesting vehicles, and unexpected crossovers, this season could be the most interesting yet! There also will certainly be more to come as the season continues!
