Segway announced the Segway Drift W1s roller shoes recently, and the entire thing reminds us a bit of the hoverboard mania from a couple of years ago.
The shoes will be released in August and will be priced at $399, alongside a free helmet. Because you will definitely need at least that.
The shoes look like smaller hoverboards and each of the shoes weighs around 7.7.lbs and they are capable of reaching 7.5 miles per hour. With just one full charge, you can ride for about 45 minutes.
The shoes can be pre-ordered with a deposit of $99 directly from the brand’s webpage.
Judging by how you will have to keep your balance on them, the roller shoes should have probably come with free elbow and knee protectors as well. Looking forward to YouTube video compilations with people trying them on. Wonder how many will actually not fall off…
