Garmin Launches 5 GPS Watches for Every Budget and Runner

Garmin’s GPS running watches are probably on the wishlists of many runners. Ever since manufacturing the smartwatches, the company has considered every budget, and today is adding five more models.

A five-button design, always-on displays, heart rate sensors, notifications are a few of the features that the new Garmin Forerunner 45, 45S, 245, 245 Music, and 945 have in common.

Also, Garmin said they would add menstrual cycle tracking for users who want to have an overview of their health at a glance.

Garmin Forerunner 45 and Forerunner 45S

The Garmin Forerunner 45 and 45S were created especially for athletes who are looking for a entry-level running devices. The Forerunner 45 has a 45mm case, while the 45S has a smaller 39mm case, just so you know.

The watches can keep track of your running or workout sessions through GPS and heart rate sensors. You can expect the devices to last about 13 hours in GPS mode and about seven days in smartwatch mode.

Quick-change bands are not an option, music storage support, either.

These two also feature Garmin’s incident detection tech and support for various watch faces, plus assistance for running and cycling workouts.

Garmin Forerunner 245 and Forerunner 245 Music

The Garmin Forerunner 245 and Forerunner 245 Music are perfect for more advanced athletes because of their run-monitoring tools. The VO2 max estimates and training status metrics will help determine if your body is using oxygen the way it should. On a single charge, both last about 7 days, or up to 24 hours in GPS mode.

The Forerunner 245 Music stores up to 500 songs either through playlist download from music streaming services or through regular transfer from computer.

The 245 line includes Garmin Coach training plans, auto max HR support, running dynamics, incident detection and swimming workouts. There’s no barometric altimeter, nor gyroscope, not to mention no Garmin Pay support.

Garmin Forerunner 945

The highest-end GPS running watch for Garmin is the Garmin Forerunner 945. Why? It comes with extra battery life, double music storage and Garmin Pay support. The device lasts for 36 hours in GPS mode, 10 hours if you’re adding the music.

The watch is perfect for triathlon competitors, for example. They can keep track of recent training history with the training load focus feature. It also has oximeter metrics for hiking and wellness, as well as VO2 max heat and altitude adjustment.

Another interesting feature Garmin is bringing to Garmin Connect is consists menstrual cycle tracking.
