Google Pixel 4a Is Here, Brings Extra Bang For Your Buck

It took a lot of anticipation, teasers and a COVID-19 related delay, but the Google Pixel 4a finally launched, bringing extra bang for your buck.

The Pixel 4a is up for pre-order and will start shipping on August 20.

Later on, this fall, it will be followed by a Pixel 4A 5G model and a pricier Pixel 5 5G, as you can see here.

It has a 5.81-inch 1080 x 2340 OLED display with a punch-hole cutout in the corner. Under the hood, it pairs a Snapdragon 730 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The camera is the same module used in the Pixel 4 and, previously, the Pixel 3 – the 12 MP Sony IMX363.

In terms of security, the Google Pixel 4a also comes with the Titan M chip, along with the guarantee of 3 years of updates.

While there is no SD card slot, so any extra storage will have to be bought in the cloud, Google did keep the headphone jack on the phone, and there are also stereo speakers.

And, for the $349 price tag, the Google Pixel 4A also includes 18W fast-charging for its 3,140mAh battery.

Once you consider it also comes with 3 month trials for YouTube Premium, Google Play Pass and Google One for extra entertainment and storage, the deal just gets better and better.
