Google Pixel 4a Launch Date, Price and Colors Just Leaked

A french phone retailer has just leaked the release date, price and color options for the upcoming Google Pixel 4a and the first thought we have is that the Pixel 4a might be quite expensive.

Reddit user Bronzey91 discovered the leak that says that the smartphone arrives on July 7 and it comes in the ‘Just Black’ and ‘Barely Blue’ versions, at €509.56, which converts to $575/£460. The smartphone was rumored to cost about $349, and the recent leak shows a significantly higher price, even higher than the iPhone SE’s $399/£419 price.

We can suspect that the higher than expected price has a lot to do with the 128GB storage capacity, which is double that of the 64GB the Pixel 4a is expected to come with. Other than that, keep in mind that, when removing France’s 20% standard VAT, the price becomes €408.

The phone’s launch was the subject of many rumors. Initially, Google Pixel 4a scheduled for July 13th, and the market launch for the “Just Black” model to be August 6th, and for the “Barely Blue” – October 1st.

According to experienced leaker Jon Prosser, the announcement is still programmed for July 13th, but the Just Black version has been pushed back to October 22 and the Barely Blue version has reportedly been removed entirely from the lineup.

The release date of the Pixel 4a has been pushed back a few times already, and July 7 seems a little bit too sudden and kind of unrealistic to expect. What do you think?
