Google’s first retail store will soon arrive in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, where customers will be able to try and buy all of Google’s products and services. Along with the launch, Pixel, Nest, Fitbit, and third-party accessories will be on sale.
Designed more like a showroom, the store will integrate Google’s own hardware products, Pixel phones, Nest smart home gadgets, Fitbits, and other devices, along with fun accessories and Google-branded products on display for customers to enjoy.
If you’re wondering how the store will look, one thing is certain. Google’s store will be cozier and warmer than Apple’s, with lots of light, focusing on warm wood tones. Its design gained a platinum rating from Leeds for its environmental design, and the furniture is made from recycled supplies. The company highlighted it worked with a local artist to design the store’s wood furniture.
Interestingly enough, the store has separate rooms where people can enjoy experiences with the products like seeing how the Pixel phone’s night sight camera feature works, or another room displaying Google’s Stadia game. Also, there’s a 17-foot round glass structure -the imagination space- that displays Google’s latest technology advancements.
