With next-generation consoles less than a month away, players are all ready to get their hands all the upgrades that come with next-generation hardware. Unfortunately for Xbox Series X Day 1 installers, their major launch title Halo Infinite was delayed past launch. However, Master Chief fans will have their hands full with the announced next-generation upgrades to Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Halo Community Manager Affirms Halo Infinite Release Window and Consoles
Announced in a post on Xbox’s Twitter account, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will have several upgrades for Xbox Series X|S users. It will not only be fully optimized, but have 120 FPS in both campaign and multiplayer modes. Additionally, there will be improvements to split screen gameplay. Unfortunately, 4K will only be available on the Xbox Series X.
These upgrades will all be available on November 17th. Both users who own the game or play it on Xbox Game Pass will have access.
This is great news for gamers because it means that gamers will be able to play optimized versions of Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach, and Halo 4 all on the Xbox Series X|S. Although many Xbox fans have already played these games, it will certainly be a new experience with these upgrades.
If these upgrades represent what we can expect from Halo Infinite, we know that at its baseline, it would be better in specs than almost any game on current generation consoles.
