Teach Your Kids VR With McDonald’s Happy Goggles

If you haven’t got the chance to play with Google Cardboard, McDonald’s is offering a happier alternative to the lightweight VR gear. Happy Goggles will be this month’s (coolest yet?) surprise to go with the Happy Meal.

A limited amount of goggles are going to be sold in 14 restaurants in Sweden along with the special menu for kids. Parents and children will simply have to deconstruct the Happy Meal box to form a headset. Then, the bonus lenses that come with the food menu can be attached to the goggles and finally, dad’s smartphone.

There will only be 3.500 headsets available, according to Ad Week, so if the idea appeals to you, you should be on the lookout for further announcements from the food chain. This might be the best way to explain the technology behind virtual reality to your kids and attract their interest in future technology advancements.
