Since most of us are stuck at home watching the news or working remote, it’s no wonder Google will take advantage of its audience with an online-only event dedicated to smart homes.
Google has cancelled its famous Google I/O conference.
Instead, it will hold the Works with “Hey Google” Smart Home Summit, an online-only event on July 8th that will be dedicated to all the smart gadgets around the house.
The event will have a 45-minute keynote, a panel with Google and other major smart home industry players, plus a series of developer sessions.
During the keynote, Michele Turner from Google will share with developers Google’s new smart home API features and what they will be able to accomplish with them.
Of course, this is a developer-focused event, but there’s still hope for a new Google device announcement!
At Google I/O, another dev-oriented event, Google has made plenty of announcements, so perhaps at “Hey Google” we’ll see something new as well.
