Since we’ve all been complaining about how it’s 2018 and all we got is war and ruin instead of hoverboards and flying cars, Russian company Hoversurf has announced that its Hoverbike S3 model is not only ready for production but also that pre-ordering has officially started as well.
The hoverbike in question weighs 253 pounds and has four propellers that keep it up in the air. It can ride at speeds of up to 60 mph with an adult rider lifted up around 16 feet above ground, for roughly 10 to 25 minutes, all depending on the rider’s weight and on the weather conditions, of course.
The Hoverbike S3 has an ergonomic pilot seat and its frame was created using a number of different types of carbon fiber technology.
As far as what’s under the hood, the vehicle has a hybrid-lithium-manganese-nickel battery alongside safety features like auto-stabilizers, auto-takeoff and auto-landing.
The S3 is already in use in Dubai, where they have been sold to the Dubai Police and the hoverbike will be integrated into its fleet of futuristic vehicles.
If you want one, you can order it directly from the company’s website but it will make your wallet $150,000 lighter.
