As everyone is celebrating the launch of Half-Life: Alyx, one of the most anticipated games and VR experiences, HP is teasing a new VR headset.
The company started drumming up hype for the HP Reverb G2, a next-gen VR headset developed alongside Microsoft and Valve.
The company did not reveal too many details but promises the new Reverb headset will be “more immersive, comfortable and compatible” and that it will become the “next benchmark” in virtual reality headset.
The first HP Reverb headset offered 2,160 x 2,160 pixels per eye, so it was already beating out some competitors, which means HP and Microsoft will push things even further. We just hope it’s cheaper than HP’s VR backpack.
Developers, architects, and #VR users – this one’s for you.
