The new Apple phones are fresh out of the oven and the company’s rivals are already jumping on the troll train. I’ll admit Huawei’s speed in more or less subtly responding to the Apple event gave me a good laugh.
The Chinese mobile vendor called out Apple about their newest devices being more or less the same and also not very innovative. At the same time, by doing this, they also advertised their Huawei Mate 20 launch that’s set to happen on October 16th.
It was more or less 30 minutes past 12 when Huawei posted on Twitter:
Thank you for keeping things the same. See you in London. 16.10.18 #HigherIntelligence #HUAWEIMate20
— Huawei Mobile (@HuaweiMobile)
The Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro are set to be unveiled in London, as stated, and what we do know about them is that they will come with a Kirin 980 chipset which is built, just like Apple’s A12 Bionic, on a 7nm processor.
Huawei also wants to be the first company to come out with a foldable phone and it’s exciting to think they might be presenting just that during their October event. Not to get ahead of ourselves of course, but the event is set right before the Samsung Developer Conference so no better way to take the lead on both Apple and Samsung than by presenting something innovative.
Regardless how the event goes, a slow clap and a nod for whoever is in charge of the Huawei social media accounts.
