Someone at Huawei definitely wants to spill the beans ahead of IFA Berlin, the hottest tech show of the fall, as yet another leak reveals the Huawei Mate 20 Lite.
Just yesterday XDA-Developers revealed the main Mate 20 with its waterdrop notch. Now, a Maimang 7 certification shows off the Mate 20 Lite.
Last year, Huawei launched the Maimang 6 smartphone in China and the same device in other markets as Mate 10 lite so it stands to reason that the newly-listed Maimang 7 is actually the Mate 20 Lite.
Expected to show up earlier than the Mate 20, which we hope to see at IFA 2018 later this month, the Mate 20 Lite is the budget option for those who still want a big screen.
Coming with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 px), the Mate 20 Lite will be powered by a big, 3,750 mAh battery with fast charge support. Previous leaks indicate the presence of a Kirin 710 chipset paired with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. On the software front, expect to see EMUI 8.2 on top of Android 8.1 oreo, which could also indicate the presence of GPU Turbo, Huawei’s anticipated, battery-saving tech.
Of course, we’ll have to wait for an official Huawei announcement at IFA for the price and the rest of the specs (like EMUI 9 confirmation).
