Huawei Mate 40 Series To Be Revealed on October 22

According to GSMArena, Huawei’s Consumer Business CEO Richard Yu has announced, via Weibo, that the Huawei Mate 40 series arrives on October 22, starting at 8 a.m. Eastern time (5 a.m. Pacific time).

 The MIIT certification mentions three models in the series – the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ and in terms of power, the Mate 40 series is expected to be the first running on the Kirin 9000 chipset, the first 5nm chip with a built-in 5G modem and maybe even the last, considering the situation Huawei is facing with the Kirin production.

Based on the teaser announcement, be can also assume the Mate 40 line will feature some major advancement in telephoto tech. By now, we can expect a 108MP main shooter with a free-form 9P lens alongside a periscope module with 5x optical zoom.
