Recently, Hulu has just dropped support for Google Daydream. So if you enjoyed watching your Hulu videos with the Daydream View VR headset, we’re sorry to tell you that the update of its Android app will not support the VR platform anymore.
Hulu has been an original Daydream launch partner, since the beginning. However, we are not that surprised that Hulu gave up Daydream support. HBO itself has removed its HBO Now and HBO Go VR apps from Google Daydream, according to a Variety report.
However, if you own a new smartphone, this change won’t affect you, as Google as any 2019 Daydream-compatible smartphones.
Daydream was released almost four years ago, but couldn’t exactly catch up. Therefore, Google stopped focusing on VR and started working on its augmented reality platform.
However, you can still enjoy Hulu’s VR app on other VR headsets, like PlayStation VR, Oculus Go, Samsung Gear VR and Oculus Rift.
