If you’re relying on navigation systems like Google Maps in traffic, then you’ll probably enjoy their latest update. In v9, you get even more help from Google Maps with heads-up bubbles.

Instead of cross-referencing the directions and streets announced with the ones on your map, now you have blue bubbles notifying you of upcoming turns and boulevards. Most users have already seen the changes in their updated app, but to verify it on the spot, all you have to do is launch Google Maps. Then, enter navigation mode to get to an adress and tap the blue arrow at the bottom right of your screen. You should see bubbles marking exits or turns that come up along the way.

It’s a small change, granted, but could be the one that keeps you focused on the road, eliminating unnecessary tasks from your to-do driving list.
