Leaked GoPro Images Let Us Know to Brace Ourselves for Hero7

Found on a thread on Reddit, the images seem to suggest we will be dealing with not just one, but three cameras: Hero7 White, Hero7 Silver and Hero7 Black. We don’t know how the models will differ from one another, but we can tell that the Hero7 Black has a front-facing display, which might point at it being the most expensive of the three as well – the black moniker has denoted the high-end GoPro models for a while now.

 

There are no specs available that we can share but what we can tell is that both waterproofing and image stabilization are mentioned in the marketing display.

GoPro has not had it easy for a while now – users have become more accustomed to using their smartphones for filming, choosing the ever more performant handsets over action cameras.

The company even released their first budget action camera in two years, the Hero, priced at $199, in an effort to keep the action camera relevant. They even attempted to diversify their products by dipping into the drone branch, but that project was shut down eventually.

With all that in mind, a lot rests on the shoulders of this new generation GoPro cameras, so we’re curious to see if they can carry the weight or if this will turn out to be GoPro’s swan song.
