As we’re getting closer to the delayed iPhone 12 release which is meant to be happening in late October, more details surface about the device. We already know Apple is planning to announce four variants for the series and most of the specs have already been leaked.
The latest leak comes to confirm rumors about the squared-off sides of the new flagship line-up. Thanks to @Jin_Store, a well-known Apple enthusiast, alleged iPhone 12 molds and CAD drawings show us roughly how the device will look like. Molds and CAD drawings are mostly used by smartphone accessory makers to start making cases ahead of a device’s launch. The sketches reveal the general look of the device and don’t really reveal ay design details of the final product.
The four variants of the iPhone 12 will come in three display sizes – 5.4 inches for the base model, 6.1 inches for the 12 Pro and 12 Max version, and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The molds show the placement of the iPhone 12’s side buttons and the notch, as well as the flat edges that were used for the design of the iPhone 4 and brought back with the 2020 iPad Pro.
Leakers predict the arrival of the iPhone 12 in late October – early November, so we are holding our breaths. There is also a chance not all models will be here at once. Apple has previously launched the iPhone X in November 2017, after releasing the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in September the same year.
