One more month before Samsung’s Unpacked event and we’re all waiting with baited breath for the devices that some of us will eventually have in our pockets. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 are two of the most talked-about smartphones this year and they will arrive with a Galaxy Watch 4 and a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic in tow.
Leakster Evan Blass has now further confirmed the August 11 event date via a promo from Samsung Russia. According to the prompt, the event will begin at 17.00 Moscow time, which makes it around 10am Eastern Daylight Time.

The promo states that “The future will unfold in a new way. Very soon” and features a very minimalistic design depicting some geometric shapes that, after squinting a little, we can tell represent the Galaxy Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The devices are expected to release on August 27th, except for the watches, which might be already available for purchase on August 11th.
Needless to say, the upcoming folding devices are the most anticipated smartphones of the year.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is rumored to have a 6.2 inch Super AMOLED external display and a 7.5 inch display once unfolded. It will have a Snapdragon 888 chipset under the hood with 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage.
The smartphone will also have an S Pen, though it seems it will not come bundled up with the device and will have to be purchased separately. The S Pen in question is rumored to have been made specifically for the Z Fold 3, which means that it might not be compatible with other Galaxy devices.
The smartphone will have three 12MP cameras on the back, a 16MP under-display camera and a 10MP camera that can be used when the phone is closed.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 on the other hand will have a clamshell design that will allegedly have a 6.7 inch Dynamic AMOLED display. It will have a 22:9 aspect ratio.
The smartphone’s predecessor was criticized for its small front cover screen, as it made reading notifications and messages difficult, but the Z Flip 3 will most likely have rectified that issue.
In terms of cameras, we haven’t had a lot of leaks coming our way but we can expect to see a dual camera setup on the back.
The leaked promo also states that the live stream of the Unpacked event can be watched in Russia via the samsung.com/ru link.
