LG K50S and K40S “Attractively-Priced Smartphones” Launching at IFA 2019

LG is making sure it’s once again the star of IFA, as their booth seems to get pretty crowded for the big Berlin event.

The company announced it will be there with the new LG K50S and LG K40S, two smartphones it says will be “attractively-priced”.

According to LG, the newest K series models bring better cameras, with super wide angle sensors as a premiere, better displays and larger batteries at an affordable price, which should make mid-range smartphone hunters keep a close eye on them.

The LG K50S pictured above borrows the flagship camera setup from the LG V and G series, pairing a 13 MP sensor with PDAF with a 5 MP Super Wide Angle lens and a 2 MP lens with depth sensor for gorgeous portraits.

The smaller model, the LG K40s, will rely on a dual rear camera, combining a 13 MP lens with PDAF with a 5 MP super wide angle one.

LG K40S midrange smartphone

For specs, we know that the LG K50S has a huge 6.5-inc FullVision display, while the LG K40S is lighter in the pocket but not by much – it sports a 6.1-inch HD+ display.

As is the case with most LG smartphones, the company makes no compromises on the audio front, including in both the K50S and the K40S DTS:X 3D Surround Sound.

The IFA 2019 announcement also mentioned that both of these smartphones meet the U.S. MIL-STD-810G military standard for durability and feature Google Assistant one button press away.
