It’s been a rough few months for Mark Zuckerberg, who has been relentlessly mocked for his ideas about the metaverse and how his virtual avatar looks, but the Meta CEO does not plan to abandon his grand plan.
This time, Zuckerberg showed up on Joe Rogan’s podcast to announce the new Meta VR headset, a follow-up for the Oculus 2.
It’s possible that the new VR headset will be called Oculus 3 but much more likely to have a new name like Meta Quest Pro, according to one previous report.
Either way, the new Meta VR headset announced on the controversial podcast hosted by Joe Rogan will focus on “social presence”.
According to Zuckerberg, it’s designed to enhance non-verbal communication by capturing your facial expressions and translating them onto your avatar in real-time.
You can hear the full conversation between Rogan and Zuckerberg on Spotify in the podcast titled #1863 – Mark Zuckerberg, an almost three-hours long experience.
