Match.com brings yet another app designed to bring you the perfect summer boyfriend or girlfriend and, maybe, if your matches are strong enough, a life partner.
Meet Crown, the newest Match Group app, which brings an even more competitive twist to the already gruesome dating arena.
Instead of swiping or seeing what events you have in common, using Crown you’ll get a daily list of 16 potential partners, smartly arranged in pairs. You’ll then have to pick which one sounds best until you’re down to your last four matches.
Then, all of them will be notified of their “victory” and can choose to send you a message.
Sounds like The Bachelor, right?
According to Andy Chen, Vice President of Match Group, this app is designed to “helps users choose between quality over quantity.” Indeed, it seems like there’s much less swiping involved!
Crown is now in limited beta in Los Angeles on iOS and will soon come to other cities (and Android!).
