Misfit, a brand owned by Fossil Group, is once again about to bring sophistication and color at IFA 2019. The company just revealed Vapor X, a chic smartwatch that’s set to be their lightest yet! Is that enough for you to buy, though?
Misfit’s latest product, the Vapor X, hopes to solve one of consumers’ biggest issues when it comes to wearables, especially smartwatches: bulkiness and weight. By streamlining the design and using an aluminium alloy case, the 42mm Vapor X is said to be almost unnoticeable on the wrist – in a good way.
In the same time, its light encasing doesn’t mean you should expect barely-there hardware. Quite the opposite, in fact – the Vapor X boasts Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 3100 processor and 512MB of RAM with 4GB of storage. It runs Wear OS so you can expect plenty of compatibility with third-party apps like Spotify, Cardiogram and more.
Why Cardiogram? Vapor X packs a heart rate monitor so you can not only track your steps and calories, use GPS for location-based apps and view notifications but also see how well does your body cope with all this effort.
Unfortunately, Misfit Vapor X doesn’t have a speaker to take calls, just a microphone to pick up your voice commands for Google Assistant.
For $279, you also get NFC, waterproofing up to 30m, a battery that will last you two days in the saving mode. The strap is interchangeable and there are two buttons so you can customize the watch until it feels like your own.
At the moment, Misfit has a discount for the Vapor X on their website, where you can purchase it for $199. Want to read more recommendations and reviews before doing that? Wait for IFA 2019 to commence, where Vapor X will be displayed.
