Mobvoi promised a “digital detox” strategy for smartwatches at IFA 2018 and they seem to be keeping on track with that.
At first glance, the newly-announced Ticwatch C2 smartwatch looks like a regular analog watch, with a minimalist design and quite a classy feeling to it, thanks to the two crowns on the right.
If you look closer, you’ll see that the circular dial, surrounded by a stainless steel frame, is actually a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with 360 x 360 resolution. The Ticwatch C2, just like other Mobvoi offerings, runs on Google Wear OS and has a Snapdragon 2100 processor.
Thanks to Wear OS, Google Assistant is always there, and you can also download even more watch faces. Compatible with both Android and iOS devices, the Ticwatch C2 connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 41.
Even though it looks like a regular wristwatch, this smartwatch has all the perks you expect, from Google Pay to GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and a heart rate monitor. It’s also quite resistant, with an IP68 rating, plus a 400 mAh battery that, according to Mobvoi, will last a day and a half.
The Mobvoi Ticwatch C2 will be available in multiple colors, with the main differentiator between variants being the strap size.
The Onyx and Platinum Ticwatches measure 42.83 x 42.83 x 13.10 mm with a 20 mm strap, while the Rose Gold model has a slimmer, 18mm strap, and measures 42.83 x 42.83 x 12.80 mm. Pre-orders are already open and shipping will start on November 27th.
