Netflix introduced the ability to watch some shows offline back in 2016 but the list of movies was quite small at the time. Big names such as Disney didn’t allow users to download their titles.
Things have changed with time, the offline download list growing and, after rolling out the feature for Android last summer, Netflix made it now available for iOS.
Netflix subscribers can turn the Smart Downloads feature on or off with just one click. It does not work on cellular data, however, only via Wi-Fi, which is better actually since they can’t accidentally use a large chunk of their data in the process.
In addition to that, the users don’t have to worry about storage. As soon as they finish watching an episode, the app deletes it keeping the library clean.
In order to access this new feature, users first need to get their hands on the latest version of Netflix for iOS.
