The Ring Alarm Security is now at its second-gen iteration and, while it looks fresh, the price remains unchanged.
The $200 kit slightly updates the design of the keypad, adding one-touch buttons to directly reach first responders or law enforcement.
The door, window and the motion sensors included in the five-piece kit (alongside a range extender) also got a bit smaller and “easier to mount”, according to the developers.
“Not only is it a commitment-free security system that can be professionally monitored with a Ring Protect Plus plan, it works seamlessly with other compatible Ring security devices, like Doorbells and Cams,” said Ring in a blog post.
The company is referring to the $10 per month professional monitoring subscription that can be canceled anytime with no extra fees.
Just like the first Ring Alarm security kit, this one is also easily installed with no need to drill holes in the walls.
It’s available starting at $200 for the 5-piece kit that’s enough for a condo.
For bigger houses, it goes up to $329 for a 14-piece one with motion detection for 2 rooms and 8 windows or doors coverage.
