iPhone 12 Pro 5G Design To Integrate a Flat Stainless-Steel Frame

A Bloomberg report recently published at the beginning of April by Mark Gurman and Debby Wu confirms Apple’s intention to introduce an iPhone 12 Pro redesign that resembles the iPad Pro.

Unlike the curved silhouette used on the iPhone 11 Pro, the phone will integrate a flat stainless-steel frame, and the company wants to make changes in the display area as well, ditching the 2.5D glass in favor of a flat panel. This change is likely to have an impact on usability because some gestures need a swipe from the edge of the display.

The report goes on confirming Jon Prosser’s guess, that the next-gen iPhones would integrate a smaller notch, with hopes that in the future the giant will entirely remove the notch. The phone’s screen size will be increased to a 6.7-inch panel and improved processor meant to speed up AI and AR tasks.

Hopefully, Apple engineers will be able to travel to China and conclude the product design, as expected. By now, there are no delays announced, but we still have to wait and see how the COVID-19 crisis develops.
