New TicWatch Pro With 4G Might Be on Its Way

The TicWatch Pro launched in 2018 is one of the most interesting smartwatches out there at the moment. With a dual-screen technology that combines the functionality of a traditional watch and a smartwatch, the only thing lacking is 4G, but that looks like it is about to change.

An image that was briefly spotted by DigitalTrends on Mobvoi’s website (maker of TicWatch products) stated “New TicWatch Pro” and “Powered by Verizon”. The collaboration with a mobile network suggests it will support 4G.

While it’s quite clear the photo was not meant to be posted, we can see the design of the smartwatch has not drastically changed and it’s not called TicWatch 2, so we can expect the features to be the same as the previous model with the only added upgrade being 4G technology.

We already like a lot about the TicWatch Pro like the clever dual-screen that lets you switch from a full smartwatch OLED display to a low-powered LCD one for basic timekeeping.

The long battery life in the Essential Mode, innovative screen technology and premium design are all reasons why this smartwatch stands out and for the price of 244,99 euros we can overlook a few cons like the limited Mobvoi app, mediocre battery life in smart mode and no LTE version(which looks like it’s about to change).

With only having a rumor to go with, for now, we can expect the new TicWatch to be a success and start competing with top smartwatches on the market.
