Next-level Home Defense? Sunflower Debuts Residential Security Drone

CES 2020 had plenty of home security tech on display but none was quite as flashy as the Sunflower security drone.

While most residential security systems usually consist of smart cameras, the Sunflower security package goes above and beyond.

And we don’t mean just hovering! This is how it works:

The Sunflower Home Awareness System is actually a series of units called Sunflowers.

They look like regular garden lights but use motion and vibration sensors that send over that intelligence and map the movements of people, animals and cars on your property.

Then there’s the residential drone itself, the Bee, which lives in a waterproof charging station called the Hive.

Once the Sunflowers detect activity around your home, they send a smartphone or tablet notification with the location of that activity.

If you want to check out what’s happening, you can deploy the Bee surveillance drone to get a Full HD view over your property.

It’s certainly an impressive security system, which means it won’t come cheap.

The Sunflower Labs residential security system starts at $9,950 and will start shipping in mid 2020.

Pre-orders are already open, with a $990 down-payment.
