Until 2020, OnePlus used to issue a basic smartphone line and a T one and leave it at that. But as prices went up and complaints followed, OnePlus had to face facts: either the prices of their flagships drop or they’ll have to go into mid-range realm. So, the Nord appeared and in a couple of weeks, OnePlus Nord N10 and Nord N100 will follow.
These N phones from OnePlus are meant to hit the US market so they’re created after the needs of US consumers. And with a price that’s obviously suitable for that market.
But that’s not all. If everything we know so far about the two is true, then OnePlus made a curious camera choice. Folks, it seems like N10 will be the first OnePlus phone – flagships included – with a 64MP camera.
That doesn’t make any sense… unless it’s a consolation prize. There’s no hiding it: N10 and N100 owners will have to settle for less than great specs. In the case of OnePlus Nord N10, gone are the 12 or even 8GB of RAM Nord has, 6GB of RAM are all you’re gonna get.
Say goodbye to the 765G chip! The cheapest 5G processor from Qualcomm is gonna take its place, the 690 chip. But, as I said, you’re gonna have the option to take photos with a quad camera led by a 64MP sensor. Plus, you’ll be able to check out your photos or watch videos on a 6.5-inch display – a bit bigger than the one on the original Nord – with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Plus, there’s one big advantage to the N series – price! See video above to find out what I’m talking about.
